On July 19, 2025, the China Democracy Party held its 747th Jasmine Action at Times Square, New York, continuing its weekly protest against authoritarian rule in China.
The protesters’ core message is clear: “End one-party dictatorship, and build constitutional democracy in China.” This slogan has been the unchanging call throughout every Jasmine Action since 2011.
Participants called for:
An end to the Chinese Communist Party’s monopoly on power
A constitutional democratic system with independent judiciary and human rights
Global awareness of the ongoing oppression inside China
With banners, slogans, and peaceful assembly, this rally — held in the heart of NYC — is part of the longest-running Chinese pro-democracy protest in the world.

“Democracy for China!” “Stand with Taiwan!” “No More War!” — Voices echoing in Times Square
Since 2011, the China Democracy Party has continuously organized the Jasmine Action without interruption. Now in its 745th week, the action has always taken place at Times Square — a global landmark of democracy — broadcasting the real voice of China’s civil society to the world.
Chairman Wang Juntao stated:
“The Chinese Communist Party not only suppresses dissent at home, but also provokes wars abroad. We must unite all forces that support freedom and peace — to stop war, defend Taiwan, and support China’s path to democracy.”

On June 29, 2025, Dr. Wang Juntao, Chairman of the National Committee of the China Democracy Party, delivered a speech at an anti-CCP rally held in Flushing, New York. In his speech, he pointed out that in the 104 years since the founding of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), the regime has continuously created tyranny and is the root cause of all suffering in Chinese society. He called on all Chinese people to stand up and overthrow the CCP’s authoritarian rule, and to build a new China based on democracy, constitutionalism, and freedom.
Wang Juntao declared that: “Down with the Communist Party, down with Xi Jinping, end CCP tyranny, and establish constitutional democracy” — is not merely a slogan, but a historic responsibility of the Chinese nation.
The rally also expressed solidarity with the pro-democracy struggles in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Xinjiang, and Tibet, opposed the CCP’s use of military force for unification, and voiced strong support for the right of the Taiwanese people to decide their own future.
On June 28, 2025, members of the China Democracy Party gathered again in Times Square, New York City, to hold the 744th Jasmine Action. Protesters raised banners and chanted slogans such as “Down with the CCP” and “We want freedom” to support people in mainland China who continue to suffer under the Chinese Communist Party’s dictatorship.
This ongoing weekly protest has been held since 2011, making it one of the longest-running Chinese pro-democracy actions abroad.
On June 4, 1989, gunfire in Tiananmen Square shocked the world.
Thirty-six years later, members of the China Democracy Party gathered in Manhattan, New York to mourn the victims, uncover the long-suppressed truth, and carry forward the unfinished ideals of the pro-democracy movement.
📢 “The gunfire of that day still echoes. We have not forgotten — and we have never given up.”
📌 This video documents the rally on-site, bearing witness to the voices of overseas Chinese who continue to call for freedom and democracy.
Thirty-five years ago, the gunshots echoed in Tiananmen Square. Today, we answer with voices that refuse to be silenced.
CDP Vox is not a traditional museum. We have no marble halls or government funding. But we have memory. We have resistance. We have hope.
Here, we document what the regime tried to erase, preserve the voices of dissidents, and gather the stories of courage and loss. From Tiananmen to the Jasmine Movement, from exile to international solidarity—this is where the truth finds a home.
Memory is resistance. Documentation is action. And sharing is responsibility.
